- 11, 2015.
Prof. Bravo participated in the ACRs Annual Meeting held in San Francisco,
CA. As it has become usual, once again the Joint Hypermobility Study Group
came together, and Dr. Bravo, alongside Dr. Grahame, were co-convenors.
In this opportunity for the first time all the speakers were from the United
States. Dr. Fraser Henderson, Neurosurgeon, spoke about the
neurological compromise in EDS, and made special reference to the Chiari
Malformation. Dr. Brad Tinkle, Clinical Genetecist, referred to the
clinical and molecular importance and its role in the genetic cause of EDS.
Mrs. Sandy Schack, Chair of the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome National Foundation,
USA, commented about the foundation's role and function with particular
reference to its educational role. Hundreds of posters filled the
convention center room, where a record number of 16400 participants were
registered.
